GOD, BRILLIANT LORD
Psalm 8:3-4
I look at your macro-skies, dark and enormous,
your handmade sky-jewelry,
Moon and stars mounted in their settings.
Then i look at my micro-self and wonder,
why do you bother with us?
Why take a second look our way?
Last night as i was driving home from work i looked up at the dark enormous sky and noticed the amazing handmade jewelry... and these verses capture exactly what happened next. I looked at myself (my worries and thoughts) and wondered, "Why does this brilliant Lord even bother with me? Why does he even care?" Oh, but i'm glad he does.
