Psalm 46:3-11
Verse 10 (The Message)
Step out of the traffic! Take a long,
loving look at me, your High God,
above politics, above everything.
Verse 10 (NIV)
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.
Reading this verse in the message version was so different. I like how it says, "Take a long, loving look at me...", that reminds me that i need to sit back and just enjoy God. But i think the NIV version captures more of the Trust aspect of this verse. "Be still, and KNOW that i am God." Sometimes that's hard to do.
