Nothing in the scripture really jumped out at me. But really liked how the book talked about examining your heart before reading. It said to take each feeling, concern, or thought out "as though you're gathering all your concerns and feelings into a basket." And then it said to "temporarily set aside the basket." I have never thought about it that way. I often begin my reading with a full heart and expect something specific to speak to a specific part of me...but sometimes i think it's a good idea to just set everything aside and listen to God. He always has good things to say.
